2008 politics is getting a little silly !!

Radical biased bloggers make all kinds of ridiculous statements often supporting them with out-of-context or misleading web links !
Blog viewers with any sense at all will make voting decisions based on carefully researched candidate records of experience, wisdom & performance!

Next time - MUST search web before eating any wild fruit!!!

The 23 wild cherries I plucked off a tree in the yard this afternoon were delicious!
So out of curiosity, I searched web for their nutritional value.
Just as I thought - they're good for you - except -
DON'T swallow the pits. They're full of cyanide!
Luckily, not a single pit sneaked its way down my throat.
Still, next time I'll be even more cautious.

 Live! Saturday night politics

McCain & Obama each were questioned for an hour tonight by California's Saddleback Church Pastor, Rick Warren, in a forum with an ideal format for revealing each candidate's ability to serve as President of the U.S.
This format is far superior to the usual network debates.
One can only hope that viewers will be as fair as Warren and his format when they assess the result, which means considering it objectively - not through a prism of bias.

To save stuff, or, to throw away? That is the question.

I'm a strong believer in saving stuff - after all you never know when you might need it!
This practice, however, has not filtered down into the lives of my grown offspring who seem to enjoy teasing me about it.
So, recently, when the black knob fell off a Revere Ware cooking pot, I saved the knob although I felt sure this all important knob could never be reattached, have any useful purpose or could be used for anything else.
Wrong! My son who seems able to fix anything, said, "If we just had the knob, I could fix this."
So! ...a fun & memorable gotcha moment - I pulled the knob from the drawer, presenting it to him as ceremoniously as possible.
He fixed the lid using an old additional part - he'd saved!
