Simply stay away from a small 'laid back' lakeside vacation town where the locals are in no rush to keep up with the rush mentality of visiting city folks.
Case in point: The 'chef' at our best local deli/restaurant threw one impatient city guy out of the kitchen when he invaded demanding instant delivery of shaved deli meat.
The 'chef'-busy preparing delicious sandwiches for a lunch crowd, has no patience with folks expecting McDonald's instant service.
There seems to be a pronounced cultural difference going on here, with this incident and a growing number of others as more city dwellers buy property and take up residence.
Eventually they may become more accustomed to the 'laid back' way of doing things; but early on, they're astonished, for example, that a trash removal service won't provide a set date for doing a job, or fails to show-up when a date finally is set.
It's the 'laid-back' norm around here.
Eventually one grows accustomed to it.
Eventually the jobs get done; and at this point it's only the new city folks who suffer stress-until they become culturally acclimated.
