No matter how busy we all seem to be - and concerned with high food prices - there are many packaged foods or treats, we can quickly and easily make ourselves at lower cost.
Chocolate sauce is one of them.
Recipe:
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup sugar
1 c water
a dash of salt
1 teas vanilla, OR, a few drops of peppermint extract.
Mix cocoa and sugar with the water
Stir while slowly bringing the mix to a boil
Then reduce heat to simmer - for one minute.
Add flavoring.
That's it! - Done!
ONE CAUTION: Watch carefully it does not boil over.
