Sudden storm eight hours ago killed the lights, extinguished TV & Internet, banished cooking & laundry, then warmed the fridge, leaving folks within a 100 mile surrounding area, wondering what to do with themselves.
It was as though, without warning, we were back in the pioneer days - except - at that time they had no reason to miss what happens when we turn on a switch.
Their survival skills must have been far greater then, than are ours today.
